Dr. Cynthia Arnold has had a 30 year career leading technology development and commercialization of engineering plastics and coatings.  She most recently served as the Senior Vice President, Global Technology at the merged Sherwin Williams and Valspar Corporation.  Prior to Sherwin / Valspar, Cynthia was the Chief Technology Officer at Sun Chemical.  She has held executive leadership positions at Eastman Chemical and the General Electric Company, and as the President of Exatec, a start-up venture for polycarbonate automotive windows.

Cynthia holds a BS in chemical engineering and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, and a PhD in materials science & engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.  She served as a Sloan Executive Fellow in the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy, and currently works in corporate advisory roles as well as with the University of Minnesota for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Johan Menckel started his career in 1995 at Accenture in Sweden. He then held various Business Unit Management roles at Sapa (Aluminum) in Sweden and China between 2004 and 2012. Since 2013 he is the CEO of Granges AB (Specialty aluminum). Between 2008 and 2012 he was a board member of the Swedisch Chamber of Commerce in China, since 2012 he is a board member of the Swedisch Post Code Lottery, since 2016 a board member of Nederman Holding and since 2017 a member of the steering committee of the World Materials Forum. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).

Prof. Victoire de Margerie started her career in 1986. She held various Business Development, Plant and Business Unit Management roles at Atochem (fine chemicals), CarnaudMetalbox (packaging) and Péchiney (aluminum and packaging) in France, Germany & the USA until 2002. She then became a Professor of Strategic Management at Grenoble School of Management (2003-2011). Since 2012, she is the majority shareholder and Chairman of Rondol Industrie (small scale machinery) and a Board Director at Arkema (Specialty Chemicals) and Eurazeo (Private Equity). Since 2014 she is also the Vice Chairman of World Materials Forum, since 2016 a Board Director at Babcock International (Engineering Services) and since 2017 the Chairman of the Board of Soitec (Semiconductor Materials).
Prof. de Margerie graduated from HEC Paris and Sciences Po Paris and holds a PhD in Management Science from Université de Paris 2, Panthéon Assas.

Dr. Catherine MAIERON started her career in 1995. She held various production and R&D roles at Daum (crystal glass), and Saint Gobain Desjonqueres (glass) in France until 2011. Since 2012, she works at Materalia, the materials cluster for North Eastern France and she was nominated the Materalia Managing Director in 2014. She is the Operations Director of Rondol Industrie since April 2016. She holds a PhD in Materials Science from Université de Nancy 1.

Philippe BIDEAU started his career in 1980 at Hewlett Packard as sales field engineer and distribution manager in the USA. He then created and led the McKinsey European Operations Practice, headed the Industry sector in France and sat several years on the worldwide senior partners’ evaluation committee. During his time at Mc Kinsey (1983-2012) he served the most prestigious companies worldwide in Metals and Mining, Automotive and Aerospace Industries. Since 2013 he is a Partner Emeritus of Mc Kinsey and he runs his own strategic and financial advisory firm that he created in New York City. Philippe graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and Supelec and holds a Master in Economic Systems from Stanford University.
